Instructions

1: Gently wash the elderflowers to remove any bugs.

2: Fill a pot with water and stir in the sugar.

3: Bring the mixture to a boil.

4: Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the citric acid, lemon and orange slices, and elderflowers.

5: Cover the pot and leave the mixture to steep overnight (8-12 hours).

6: Using a tight sieve or muslin cloth, drain the cordial into bottles.

7: Store any bottles you’re not using in the fridge, leaving some space at the top to prevent bursting when freezing.
